Weekly Log Oct 7- Oct 13

Only Cassidy was able to meet with Matthew Carter because Cassandra had previous engagements. During this meeting, she set up a time to meet with him every week. We will be meeting every Friday at 1:45 at the IT Building. Through this meeting, it was discovered that we will need to be asking more questions about the base and looking for specific measurements. This will include the specifications for all the components that will be put on the base. Matthew was talk the deadline for this project and we hope to work towards the design of the base together throughout the rest of this semester.

We were able to apply for the grant for Undergraduate research this week. The deadline for this application is Sunday, October 15. Most of the week has gone to this application in hopes of getting the grant for our project. This grant would allow us to buy any parts we may still be needing and help Dr. Rios get some extra electronics and sensors. Next week will be the midterm oral presentation and written formal proposal. This week has dealt with a lot of preparation for these milestones as well. By the next couple weeks, we plan to have 3D printed the Arduino base for the test robot and begin implementing code for this robot.
