Weekly Log Oct 14- Oct 20

The meeting with Matthew was canceled for this week. We will generally be meeting every Friday at 1:45 at the IT Building. We still need to discuss with him and Dr. Rios about some specifications for the base of the larger robot. We hope to work towards the design of the base together throughout the rest of this semester.

The undergraduate research grant proposal was sent in on Sunday. We spent last weekend creating and preparing for the midterm oral presentation that was due Monday. We also wrote the 10 page written formal proposal. This week was mostly dedicated to those two projects. We did a lot of research for them and it helped us narrow down our goals for the project. We also sat down and created a feasible timeline for each task and subtask for this project via Gantt and PERT charts. It will be really helpful going forward to have this level of organization done at the beginning of the project. By the next couple weeks, we plan to have 3D printed the Arduino base for the test robot and begin implementing code for this robot.
