To start the new semester, we had to go pick up our ordered parts. Over the Christmas break, we had to deal with problems and corrections that had to be done to the original order. Most of the items arrived on December 22nd and the heaviest steel sheets arrived on January 2nd. The items were stored in the IT building until we came to pick them up and move them to the Carruth building for assembly and fabrication of certain parts. After checking off the delivery with the order forms, some errors were made in the part dimensions. The plate that will be fabricated into the motor mounting brackets was not the correct size and is 6 inches shorter than it needs to be. We also ordered some hub adapters to be bored out for the wheels that were 3 inches that need to be 4 inches. We will be receiving the sensors to be used from Dr. Rios Wednesday this week and begin to play with them to adapt ourselves to better use them. We hope to correct these errors and move on to the assembly of the cart base this week.
